The Land Rover Defender electric car will be offered in three lengths. The SUV will receive two engines and four-wheel drive, and its power reserve will be at least 480 km.
Land Rover Defender will get an electric version. It will already appear in the current generation of the SUV: the presentation is scheduled for 2025, and the start of sales in 2026. This became known to the Auto Express website.
Land Rover plans to launch a large-scale electrification of its lineup. “Green” versions will appear not only in the Defender, but also in the luxurious Range Rover and Range Rover Sport.
It is expected that all three modifications of the Land Rover Defender will become electric vehicles – a short three-door 90, a five-door 110 and an extended 130. Judging by the first renders, the electric version will not change much in appearance – the designers will limit themselves to modified bumpers and grille. An enlarged multimedia display will be installed in the cabin.
The characteristics of the Land Rover Defender are kept secret. It is known that he will receive two electric motors and four-wheel drive with thrust vectoring, and a battery with a capacity of about 100 kWh will allow you to travel more than 480 km without recharging.
The Land Rover Defender electric car will become the main competitor of the electric Gelendvagen. However, most likely, it will be cheaper than the opponent.
