Saudi Arabia has shared intelligence with the US warning of an imminent Iranian attack on targets in the kingdom. The Wall Street Journal writes about it.

Journalists write that in response to the warning, Saudi Arabia, the United States and a number of other neighboring states have increased the level of combat readiness of their armed forces. Saudi Arabian officials have said Iran is ready to carry out attacks on both the kingdom and Erbil in Iraq to divert attention from domestic protests.

The White House National Security Council said it was concerned about the warnings and ready to respond if Iran launches an attack.

“We are concerned about the threat landscape and are in constant contact through military and intelligence channels with the Saudis” , — said the representative of the National Security Council.

The publication writes that the Iranian authorities have publicly accused Saudi Arabia, as well as the United States and Israel, of inciting demonstrations that take place throughout the Islamic Republic in September. Last month, the commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps publicly warned Saudi Arabia to limit coverage of the protests in Iran by satellite news channels in Farsi.

“This is our final warning because you are interfering in our internal affairs through these media,” Major General Hossein Salami said.

Iran's state news agency IRNA called Iran International “a network established by Saudi Arabia in 2017 in London” that takes a completely anti-Iranian approach. The channel used social networks and its satellite broadcasts to show videos of Iranian protests and police crackdown since the beginning of the riots in Iran.

It was also reported that in Iran, unidentified people staged a terrorist attack near the Shah Cherakh mausoleum. According to local media reports, there is a small child among the victims of the attack. Police have already detained two of the three attackers.
