The statement notes that the ministers “exchanged views on the situation in Ukraine, as well as expressed their positions on international and regional issues of mutual interest.
Security analyst Matt Tait noted, that the tone of the statements of the Chinese side was much more loyal compared to the previous statements of Chinese officials about Russia, which sounded more restrained.
It is noted that this is the first conversation between the Foreign Ministers of both countries after the imposition of sanctions against China.
