In Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, which in April 2020 was closed for quarantine because of an outbreak of coronavirus infection, the parishioners without masks, and a large crowd were expecting communion.
Photos where people are visible, mostly without personal protective equipment, standing close to each other, in the social network posted a journalist Yulia Zabelina.
“Safe distance? Not heard of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra now. Almost all without masks and receive Holy communion with a spoon! Complete lack of sanitation…” — says the journalist, adding that she’s in the mask “was soaked with an antiseptic”.
As previously reported “FACTS”, Kiev-Pechersk Lavra opened after the quarantine one month ago — on may 25.
