Lochaber car crash: Teenage girl dead, three others injured

The SQ is investigating a car accident that occurred Sunday in Lochaber, Outaouais.

A teenager from The 16-year-old died and three others were injured in a traffic accident late Sunday afternoon in Lochaber, east of Thurso, Outaouais.

According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), two vehicles were seen racing on Sunday, around 4:45 p.m., on the way to 4e rang du Gore in Lochaber.

A minor driver lost control of his vehicle which contained three passengers, all also minors.

The vehicle ended up in a ravine. The driver is in stable condition, and blood samples have been taken, because it is not excluded that there was drunk driving, said the SQ on Monday at the end of the trial. #x27;morning.

Witnesses told the SQ that they witnessed a race between two vehicles.

As for the three passengers, the police force confirmed the death of a 16-year-old girl. Another passenger who was in the vehicle was able to leave the hospital while a young man was seriously injured, but there was no fear for his life, detailed the SQ.

The second vehicle involved in the race was driven by an 18-year-old man. He was accompanied by a passenger. The two escaped without injury.

Services d emergency were called shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday, on the way to 4e rang du Gore in Lochaber, Outaouais.

Investigators intended to meet him in order to to get his version of the facts.

So far, no one has been arrested.
