64-year-old American pop diva Madonna surprised her 18.7 million followers by deleting almost all of her Instagram posts amid rumors of massive plans for the anniversary.
The singer is celebrating 40 years in the music business this year after releasing her self-titled debut album in July 1983, and there are many speculations that she may be embarking on a special tour. In part, she already confirmed this. Now all visitors to her page see only an advertisement for her Four Decades tour, as well as a video in which she talks with her friends about large-scale concerts and the performance of the most famous hits.
“Madonna is trying something completely new – and really giving fans, young and old, what they want. “She wants to capitalize on tracks like Frozen and Material Girl appearing on TikTok and present her back catalog completely new generation. In the past, she has always wanted to look ahead and focus on any new album she releases. But now, in her 60s, she is going back to her roots and reinventing herself again. At the same time, it will certainly be unhindered and quite risky. Her last Madame X tour was in smaller theaters, but this one will be in stadiums and O2 has already been confirmed. It's very interesting,” said one insider.
Madonna has already met several times with 51-year-old American director Jamie King, to discuss ideas for a potential tour.
Last year, the singer admitted that she dreams of a new tour, because the stage is her happy place. In August last year, Madonna became the first artist to hit the top ten Billboard albums 200 in every decade since the 1980s, after her Love Enough Remix Collection finally debuted at number eight on the chart.
