Man stabbed to death in Montreal's Mile End

An altercation that took place outside would have degenerated between two men, according to the first information obtained from various witnesses by the SPVM.
The victim was stabbed in at least once, said SPVM spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant, making it the 26th murder to occur on the territory of the island of Montreal.
L he investigation has been transferred to the SPVM's major crimes section and a command post has been established.
SPVM investigators, assisted by forensic identification technicians, will be on site good part of the day to shed light on the circumstances that led to the man's death.
The suspect fled on foot in a direction that remains for the moment unknown.
Earlier in the night from Thursday to Friday, a 23-year-old man was stabbed in the Plateau-Mont-Royal sector, in Montreal. Authorities later confirmed that his life was out of danger.
