Man suspected of shooting at car wanted in NS

A man suspected of having fired at a car is wanted in NL.

Gregory Allen Barr is wanted by the police.

The RCMP is actively searching for a man suspected of shooting a car in Central Onslow, near Truro, Nova Scotia.

Police believe Gregory Allen Barr may have fired at another car. A driver was in the vehicle, but was not injured.

The public is asked not to approach him and to contact 911 if he is seen as he is believed to be in possession of a firearm.

RCMP is looking for Gregory Allen Barr, 37.

An Alert Ready message was sent to residents of Cumberland County, Nova Scotia shortly after 9 a.m. Due to their geographic location, citizens of Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick also received the alert.

Gregory Allen Barr was last seen driving a 2017 Honda Civic car with registration GSU 130 on Treaty Road in the community of Millbrook. This is the gas station near the Trans-Canada Highway.

The 37-year-old is 5-foot-10 and weighs 170 pounds. He has blue eyes and blond hair.

According to Corporal Chris Marshall, spokesperson for the RCMP in Nova Scotia, several officers are trying to locate the car and speak with witnesses.

At the moment we do not know if there is a link between the owner of the car and the suspect or if it is a random act, indicates the policeman .

Search is concentrated in areas of Colchester, Cumberland and East Hants counties. The police have no reason to believe, at this time, that the suspect is heading for another province.

The RCMP says it will update the public on developments in this case via social media.

The investigation continues.
