Several communities in southern Ontario have cancelled their parades, Santas on Sunday due to bad winter weather.
Snow, frost, freezing rain has created hazardous weather conditions in the region during planned public events.
Parades cancelled in Burlington, MISSISSAUGA, Hamilton, Waterloo. Some parades could not reschedule, so they were completely abolished. For example, in Burlington, about 60 roads were closed, therefore it was impossible.
Moreover, authorities are asking people to stay off the streets unnecessarily.
Weather Canada has issued warnings across the region for the weekend, warning that the harsh freezing weather can knock out electricity and creating dangerous road conditions.
