A new actor has joined Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson as part of Season 2 of Marvel's Loki series on Disney+.
Filming for Loki Season 2 began last June, but so far, few details have been shared about what's to come in the series which – aside from What If.. .?– is the first in the Marvel catalog to have been renewed. The rare information given concerns the cast which, in addition to Tom Hiddleston's fallen god, will logically see other characters and performers return to the screen: Owen Wilson (Mobius), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Ravonna Renslayer) and Sophia Di Martino (Sylvie).
However, after the death of He Who Remains and his reference to Kang the Conqueror – who will be the main villain of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania -, it is not yet known whether Jonathan Majors (Lovecraft Country) will return as another of its variants. However, the cast continues to grow.
According to Deadline, Rafael Casal is the latest to join the cast in a kept secret, but apparently major role. The actor rose to prominence in the drama Blindspotting which he wrote and co-produced before reprising his role in the eponymous spin-off series which he co-created. He has also starred in the comedy Bad Education alongside Hugh Jackman, as well as the series The Good Lord Bird created by Ethan Hawke and aired on Showtime. Rafael Casal also behind the camera for two episodes of Blindspotting, it is not impossible that he is also working on the realization of an episode of season 2.

Before that, the animated anthology series I Am Groot will land on the platform on August 10th, followed by the series She-Hulk: Lawyer which will air from August 17th.
