Marvel: She-Hulk postponed to avoid competition with Andor

Hard blow for the Marvel series She-Hulk: Lawyer who sees its release date postponed, but not too much either.

September as often will be busy with cinema releases, with new releases such as Everything Everywhere All at Once (August 31 at the cinema) or Don't Worry Darling, but also several came out as Spider-Man: No Way Home, in long version, and the revival of the first Avatar. But the platforms have also uploaded their catalog for the start of the school year.

If we are impatiently awaiting the face to face between House of the Dragon, the first episode of which will land on August 21 on HBO in the United States (and the following day on OCS in France) and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, which arrives on September 2 on Amazon Prime Video,Marvel's back-to-school release is a little more discreet. After Miss Marvel, who compared to WandaVision and Loki has not really been talked about, Marvel will still introduce a new character to her MCU with She-Hulk: Lawyer.

Normally scheduled for August 17, 2022, the release date of She-Hulk: Lawyer was pushed back ever so slightly. Yes, viewers who are impatiently awaiting the series (if they exist) be reassured, the first episode will finally arrive on August 18, 2022 on Disney+. If the reason for this date change has not been clearly announced, we imagine that Disney+ preferred to shift the weekly releases of She-Hulk from Wednesday to Thursday, in order to make room for Andor, which will be broadcast from Wednesday, September 21 on Disney+.

Without this small change, Marvel and Star Wars series will would air on the same day for almost a month, with She-Hulk consisting of 9 episodes. By shifting the date, Disney surely hopes to spare its Marvel series from Star Wars competition, and thus avoid an inopportune overlap like that of Ms. Marveland Obi-Wan Kenobi last June.

To sum up, House of the Dragon will open by airing its episodes on Monday, then The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will join the race by unveiling its episodes on Friday and then Disney+ will air its two series on Thursday for She-Hulk and Wednesday for Andor. Prepare caffeine and blue light blocking glasses.
