Mika is dressing Paris! In collaboration with the Museum of Decorative Arts, the singer called on 9 artists to dress the display spaces of the capital with colors with original works. An open-air exhibition to be discovered in the streets during the month of March!
The parisian streets make the head, just like the Parisians. For months now, as the world of culture is at a standstill, no more films, no more plays, no more concerts are displayed in large murs of our dear city.
So to put back a little colors in the streets from the capital, the artist Mika had a good idea. In collaboration with Olivier Gabet, the director of the Decorative Arts Museum, JCDecaux, the company that owns the display spaces in Paris, and the City of Paris, the singer wanted to give back a little glimmer of hope and an artistic radiance to our streets by dressing, during the month of March, the display spaces of the capital with unpublished works !
Baptized “Restoring colors to Paris”, this open-air exhibition, free of course, will be visible in several places in Paris, such as the Palais de la Porte Dorée, the Canal de l’Ourcq or the luxury hotel Lutetia.
Flames was thus left to 9 artistes selected by Mika : Aurélia Durand, Laurindo Feliciano, Ugo Gattoni, Annick Kamgang, Marie Mohanna, Lamia Ziade, Alexandre Benjamin Navet, Lamarche-Ovize and Rosa Maria Unda Souki. Mika sign, meanwhile, a work in collaboration with his sister, Yasmine Penniman.
Works in line with artistic posters of the Belle Epoque, to discover on flag poles and the essentials Morris columns of Paris during the month of mars 2021 !
I hope you are in health and well.
