The images have shocked Internet users. This Sunday, January 19, in the middle of filming the next show of the Enfoirés, the French actress Mimie Mathy appeared in a wheelchair in photos posted on Arnaud Toupense's Instagram account. “How sad to see our Mimie Mathy in a wheelchair”, commented one fan immediately. “Why is Mimie Mathy in a wheelchair ?”, wondered a second. “Good luck Mimie, I love you”, reacted a third.

Faced with this torrent of reactions, the main person concerned decided to break her silence. During an interview with Télé Loisirs, she gave some details about her state of health. “The stages are so big on the Enfoirés that if we don't want to do an extra hour of show, I shouldn't walk”, she declared, explaining that she had some “technical problems”.

Mimie Mathy: “I have a weakness in my legs”

And to continue: “The appearance says that I'm not at my best, I have a weakness in my legs which has gotten a little worse so between takes and in everyday life, I try to relieve myself and take care of myself.”

This is not the first time that the interpreter of Joséphine Ange-Gardien has been bothered by health problems. In 2023, the 67-year-old actress underwent a major back operation, requiring a long convalescence. A year earlier, she had canceled her participation in the Enfoirés show due to “health problems”. Finally, in 2017, she had to undergo a “arthrodesis”, surgical operation consisting of fixing two or more vertebrae together to treat a deformity.

What is never mind, Mimie Mathy doesn't want people to worry about her health. “I'm sick of reading things saying that I'm paralyzed, that I can't move anymore, she said annoyed on the set of En Apart, on Canal+, in 2023.
