On Tuesday, January 3, at one of the military facilities in the Borisovsky district (Belgorod region, Russia), a soldier of the Armed Forces seriously injured a local resident, apparently mistaking him for a saboteur. The incident was reported by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov in his Telegram channel.
“There was an emergency. A local resident of the Borisov district received a gunshot wound in the leg,” the official wrote.
The man in whom fired by a Russian military man, they were taken to the Gaivoron Central District Hospital. He is in serious condition after a gunshot wound.
According to Gladkov, now the case of the wounded civilian will be dealt with by the FSB and the RF Ministry of Defense. They must find out why a local resident entered the border area and approached the military.
