Many researchers have raised many questions about the Tower of Babel. The biggest mystery was whether she was real. But the Bible says that it was built in Shinar after the great flood. This place is located on the site of modern Iraq.

Given the instability of the region, conducting research in it is quite difficult. However, from time to time excavations there resumed. And during one of these excavations, archaeologists stumbled upon a likely part of this legendary tower, writes Express.co.uk.

We are talking about an unusual brick. It was researched by Dr. Irving Finkel of the British Museum. It is believed that this particular brick was ordered by King Nebuchadnezzar II. Perhaps it was he who was responsible for the construction of the Tower of Babel.

In 586 BC. he captured the city of Jerusalem. There he chose the most highly skilled workers, whom he took to Babylon to build the tower. All of this unusual material was explored in the Smithsonian Channel documentary Secrets Revealed: The Tower of Babel.

According to Dr. Finkel, there are sections of the Bible taken from the Jews' own records. At the same time, some stories probably concern Babylon. The latter were quite captivating and impressive.

The documentary also said that history has a strong clue that Jewish slaves witnessed the construction of the tower. They were just prisoners at the time. In addition, they noted that the brick has all the signs of a building material of that time. After all, it contains ancient resin, mortar and bitumen, mentioned in the biblical story.

On the edge of the brick, the name of King Nebuchadnezzar is written in lowercase letters. This is a kind of seal of approval, indicating a personal order for the desired building.
