Near Alès, a new video game festival confirms its return in 2025

Le festival Rousson jeunesse, dans la commune éponyme, confirme son retour pour une deuxième édition du 4 au 6 avril.

The desire to return was already very present during the first edition of this new festival dedicated to video games, children's literature and pop culture, which attracted nearly 4,500 people from March 15 to 17, 2024 in Rousson.

Place aux voyages imaginaires

Led, around the mayor Ghislain Chassary, by several elected officials of the town, including the elected official for youth Pascal Martinez, the second edition of this young festival is confirmed for the spring, from April 4 to 6, still at the cultural center of Rousson.

The list of major guests of the session is still being drawn up, but the organization promises more stands and activities dedicated to the practices video games, without forgetting literary and cultural partners. Last year, the festival had, in particular, welcomed academics, writers (such as Pierre Chavagné, winner of the Cabri d’Or), or Jordan Mechner, creator of the cult game Prince Of Persia.

After “virtual worlds”, the festival will have as its central theme that of “imaginary journeys”. For the town, the interest of this festival, entirely free for its visitors, is, in addition to the part linked to the pleasures of the game, to make discover to all generations the riches of digital creations and their capacities as vectors of future and reflections.
