New information about the prosecutor's proceedings against Antek Królikowski has been circulated in the media. Has Joanna Opozda filed a notice against him?
What threatens Antek Królikowski in connection with the crime of non-alimentation? Does he have a chance to get out of this?
As the “Pomponik” portal reminds, a few days ago the media reported that the prosecutor's office was looking at Antek Królikowski in the context of the actor's failure to pay maintenance for his son from his marriage to Joanna Opozda. Now there are reports that the prosecutor's office took up the case after Opozda reported it. Get to know the details!
Separation shortly after the wedding
Antek Królikowski and Joanna Opozda got married in August 2021. Soon after, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child. Unfortunately, they did not manage to persevere in the relationship even until the birth of their son, which took place in February 2022. The reason for their separation was supposed to be the actor's affair with his neighbor.
After the announcement of the separation, there was a media war between the former partners. Joanna Opozda accused her husband of failing to pay child support. The actress also reported the case to the relevant authorities and applied to the court to secure the needs of the family. The prosecutor's office dealt with the issue of Królikowski's failure to pay alimony.
Prosecution proceedings focus on the crime of non-maintenance, which is punishable by a fine, restriction of liberty or imprisonment for a period of one year.
The prosecutor's office is looking at Antek Królikowski
The findings of “Fact” show that the notification to the prosecutor's office was received only a few days ago, so the proceedings are at a very early stage. Many commentators point out that the case is quite simple and the prosecutor will have no problem proving that Antek evades paying the awarded maintenance.
However, there are voices that nothing is yet decided and Królikowski may come out of the proceedings unscathed. He could apply for discontinuation of the pending proceedings, proving during them that he was unable to work due to his illness and, therefore, was unable to pay the alimony awarded.
According to the expert “Fact” attorney Agnieszka Dębowska-Szymańska with a high degree of probability it can be pointed out that it was Joanna Opozda who reported the case to law enforcement authorities. She stressed that as a mother, she must do everything to protect her child and provide him with alimony. If she didn't, she could be accused of acting against her son.
