According to Mark Gurman , an Apple journalist for the Bloomberg news agency, Apple is about to market a new product in the coming months. Gurman explains that the Apple brand is in the process of building an iPad supported by a robotic arm.
This new device, halfway between a tablet and a connected speaker, would be the new flagship product of the Cupertino company to equip our homes. Still according to information from Mark Gurman, Tim Cook would be one of the long-time supporters of this project.
Apple and home automation
If Apple dominates a certain number of markets in the small universe of new technologies, others are still inaccessible to it. This is particularly the case for video games, which despite the increasingly significant efforts of the apple remain the preserve of PCs and consoles.
In the same vein, the home automation market is currently eluding Apple. The leaders in this sector are called Google or Amazon, but there is no trace of Apple in the top positions. With the arrival of the HomePod mini, the Cupertino company has tried to make itself accessible, but it is still far from competing with Amazon's Echo Show.
A central “hub” made in Cupertino
In order to solve this problem and make a grand entrance into the home automation market, the Cupertino company is therefore planning to launch a modified version of the HomePod. This crossover with the iPad could give rise to a smart product that is easy to handle.
According to information from Mark Gurman, the device should not arrive before 2026 or 2027. Apple is still in the early stages of product development and the Cupertino company wants to take its time in a market that is still booming.
Apple Intelligence in support
Gene Munster, associate director at Deepwater Asset Management, assures that the arrival of Apple Intelligence will be a major change “in the years to come” for Apple. The apple brand will be able to use this very powerful functionality for its next iPhone, iPad and Mac, but also on a whole new range of devices.
This product (unnamed for the moment) would be the first of a long series for the Cupertino company. In addition to home accessories, other projects are currently being developed within Apple Park. A “Slim” iPhone is particularly in the pipeline on the side of the apple brand.
