The Democratic People's Republic of Korea allegedly agreed to help restore the destruction in the Russian-occupied territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. This was stated by Russian Ambassador to the DPRK Alexander Matsegora in an interview with Izvestiya.

According to him, North Korea will send its builders to the unrecognized “LPR” and “DPR”.

“They will be a very serious help in solving the problems of restoring destroyed social, infrastructure and industrial facilities,” Matsegora said.

At the same time, the Russian diplomat praised the builders of totalitarian North Korea.

“Highly qualified and hard-working Korean builders, able to work in the most difficult conditions, can help us restore our social, infrastructure and industrial facilities,” Matsegora said.

Thus, he directly called the seized enterprises and social infrastructure of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions the property of Russia.

He also said that the DPRK allegedly already operates equipment produced by enterprises in the occupied Donbas.

“Therefore, Korean partners are very interested in the spare parts and units manufactured there, in updating their production base,” the Russian ambassador to the DPRK added.

Is there a reaction from Ukraine?

As of For now, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has not responded to the statement of the Russian ambassador to the DPRK.

The last time people spoke about North Korea in Ukraine was on July 14th. Then the country's President Vladimir Zelensky commented on Pyongyang's position regarding the independence of the LDNR. According to him, the DPRK's recognition of the so-called independence of ORDLO does not even need a reaction.

Focus also wrote that on June 29, Syria decided to recognize the “DPR” and “LPR”. The Syrian Foreign Ministry called this step “the embodiment of the will and desire to establish friendly relations.”
