On October 2, the Orthodox Church remembers the martyrs Trofim, Savvaty and Dorimedont. All of them accepted suffering for the Orthodox faith. Earlier on this day, beekeepers collected honey, treated them to relatives and friends. It was considered very useful to eat a teaspoon of honey on an empty stomach.
