Occupants in the Crimea continue to apply its actions damage not only to the ecology of the Ukrainian Peninsula, but also the inhabitants of the sea.
So, volunteers of the Center for the study, rescue and rehabilitation of marine mammals “calm sea” reported that recently found off the coast of Crimea young dolphins with stab wounds, writes “Crimea.Realities”.
According to them, recently Chersonese was found the male mass stranding of harbour porpoise, with stab wounds, and was two similar cases.
“June 29, wounded Hatchling mass stranding of harbour porpoise were found in the waters of Balaklava. During the inspection revealed the presence of incision on the ventral surface of the body under the pectoral fin, the linear form of the wound and smooth edges indicated that it was caused by the impact of a sharp flat bladed weapons. On 2 July another mass stranding of harbour porpoise calf was found in the settlement of the New world with the same injury”, — volunteers reported.
It is noted that the baby dolphins were in good physical condition and died because of the wounds.
“The only people who are closely in contact with this kind are fishermen (azovka prevails over the rest of the cetacean by-catch number in the network due to their dietary habits), and to cause injuries to animals caught during sampling networks is very simple”, — stated in the message.
Volunteers noted that the connivance of the “authorities” and disregard of the rules for the treatment of the dolphins lead to the fact that in the temporarily occupied Peninsula to destroy a new generation of animals listed in the Red book.
Despite the fact that volunteers inform the Supervisory structure of the occupiers for each finding, the offense is not established.
Previously, the center reported that in 2020, breaking records for the amount of emissions of cetaceans in the Crimea.
Recall that last year, scientists announced a sharp decline in the population of dolphins in the Black sea. According to some, only recorded cases of death of dolphins off the coast of the Crimea last year there were more than a hundred.
Earlier, the “FACTS” wrote that in September of last year scientists of the Centre “calm Sea” in the Crimea, announced the deaths of six dolphins in Sudak district during the week. The cause of their death was the excess in the waters near the Peninsula heavy metals and mercury.
