In total, only 502 Mercedes-Benz 190 Evolution IIs were produced and they are now very much appreciated by collectors. The sports sedan is capable of reaching 235 km/h.
In Germany, a 1990 Mercedes-Benz 190 was put up for auction by RM Sotheby's. For a sedan, they plan to help out 220-270 thousand euros – at the level of the new Ferrari F8 Tributo. Details of an interesting car were revealed on the website of the auction house.
The fact is that not the usual mass Mercedes-Benz 190 will go under the hammer, but its limited charged version Evolution II. In total, only 502 of these sports sedans were produced, and in recent years their price has increased significantly.
Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II (this is the full name of the car) was created for admission to the German DTM championship. Competition regulations required racing cars to have a production version with a circulation of at least 500 copies.
The Mercedes-Benz sports sedan received a 2.5-liter four, modified by specialists from the AMG division and Cosworth, which creates Formula 1 engines. Its power reaches 235 liters. c.
With a 5-speed manual transmission, acceleration to 100 km/h takes 7.1 seconds and a top speed of 235 km/h. AMG also installed a self-locking differential, sports brakes and suspension.
The Mercedes-Benz 190 Evolution II can be distinguished from the standard model by its wide body kit and huge rear wing. Recaro sports seats are installed in the cabin.
This particular Mercedes 190 Evo II is perfectly preserved, because it was very little used. Its mileage is only 37,300 km.
