Fans of the soloist of “Tender May” even staged an impromptu rally, demanding that their late idol be given the title of Honored People's artist.
“All the people know his songs. Shatunov is a people’s artist for us. There are millions of us fans. He probably didn’t need it – he already understood that he was a folk. We need it for justice. – this is also an indicator of nationality! This is how you need to live your life to be loved, “said one of the fans.
So many people gathered that several funeral services had to be held. And in a conversation with reporters, it turned out that Yura Shatunov's fans are very concerned about the fate of his family: his wife and children who live in Germany.
“Yura cannot be returned. But his family is suffering. There has already been an attack on his wife abroad. We ask that they help the family move to Russia, protect them. Shatunov's widow and children cannot be given offended – there abroad. Yura deserved not only the love of the people, but also the happiness of the family, “said one of the women who came to the cemetery. True, there is no confirmation that someone attacked Shatunov's widow.
And his family is not going to move to the Russian Federation. Svetlana Shatunova has been living in Germany since childhood. She studied at a German school and graduated from the University of Munich.
