The draw for the Open Occitanie 2025 was made this Saturday, January 25 in Montpellier, offering great matches from the first round of the tournament.

Two days before the start of the main draw, the draw for the Open Occitanie was made this Saturday, January 25 in Montpellier. And the local players were not spared by fate.

Montpellier's Arthur Cazaux (78th) thus inherited Stan Wawrinka (WC, 156th) from the first round. Especially since the winner of this match will face the No. 2 seed, Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime (23rd), who also beat Cazaux in the second round in Montpellier last year.

A duel between friends for Gasquet

For his last tournament at the Sud de France Arena, Richard Gasquet (132nd) will play his compatriot and friend, Adrian Mannarino (75th). The winner of this match – scheduled for Tuesday evening – will face the winner of the Dutch duel between Tallon Griekspoor (40th) and Botic van de Zandschulp (84th).

This will not be the only French-French duel in the first round since Harold Mayot (117th) and Arthur Rinderknech (61st) will face each other. In this upper part of the table, the way is more open than at the bottom since the number 1 seed, the Russian Andrey Rublev (9th), is more spared than Auger-Aliassime for example.
