OPP investigating double murder following fire
The fire did not cause the death of the woman and the child, say the OPP.
The OPP Ontario has opened a homicide investigation into the deaths of a woman and child in New Tecumseth, northwest of Toronto.
The day after Christmas, the police had come to a residence to make sure someone was okay. When they got there, they found that there was a fire.
They discovered the bodies of Adrienne Nesich, 48, and a 9-year-old child.
The OPP said on Thursday that their death was not caused by the fire.
A third occupant of the house, Christopher Nesich, 45, was taken to hospital where his death was confirmed.
Investigators assure that there is no danger to the public as a result of this case.
