Overwatch game going offline on October 2
“Overwatch 2” game will take place in party in a futuristic version of Toronto.
Overwatch fans only have a few days left to play it: the video game will be unplugged on October 2 to make way for < em>Overwatch 2, the sequel to the game scheduled for release on October 4.
Activision-Blizzard, the developer of the popular shooter, recently reneged on its promise to make the two titles coexist. In an interview granted to the specialized site Eurogamer, the commercial manager of Overwatch, Jon Spector, formalized the date of the big disconnection.
“October 2 is really the last day to play Overwatch.
Overwatch 2will see several significant changes, including the end of loot boxes (loot boxes), criticized for their gambling-like mechanics.
Items can be obtained through a regularly updated store in the game, or through the free Battle Pass. Players can progress and obtain different cosmetics, such as virtual costumes (skins), in this game mode by simply playing it. A Premium paid plan will also be available to allow more cosmetics.

Activision-Blizzard has also unveiled in recent days the new character who will enter the arena. It's about Kiriko, a ninja woman accompanied by a fox and who can climb walls.
The game will be launched on October 4 on PC and PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles , Xbox One, Series, and Nintendo Switch.
