This Friday, December 6, 2024, Pascal Bataille takes to Instagram to give news of his health, relates Purepeople. He takes the opportunity to reveal a heavy secret.

Physically transformed

With a marked face and a visibly transformed physique, the 64-year-old host reveals: “Friends, I have an important truth to share with you. I have lung cancer, but I will get through it because treatments are progressing more and more! And one day, we will also have to be able to say that for Charcot's disease, so help us fund research.”

“For two or three months, I have been fighting lung cancer. And I am convinced that I will beat it.” Pascal Bataille, who owns a luxury hotel, confides that this fight does not scare him. “I am surrounded by exceptional doctors, and the new treatment protocols have made considerable progress in recent years. Finally, my morale is at its best, which allows me to remain hopeful. I know that I will recover”, he said.

A benign tumor in the left ear

Last February, the host had already revealed that he suffered from a benign tumor in his left ear, an illness he has had for over 30 years. “It is a benign tumor, but it is under surveillance because it has caused me significant hearing loss in my left ear”, he explained. He suffers from a 75% hearing loss, which makes him almost deaf in one ear.

The tumor is located on the acoustic nerve, which is responsible for transmitting information to the brain. “There is not much that can be done because it is this nerve that is damaged, not the eardrum”, he had detailed, adding that he has not known silence since 1993.
