IN BRIEF

  • Pascal Bataille spoke about his lung cancer in 2024 on the show “Chez Jordan” with Jordan de Luxe.
  • He refused a separate treatment proposal to preserve his privacy, preferring to be treated like everyone else.
  • Discover why Pascal Bataille chose not to wear a wig despite losing his hair.

It was time for Pascal Bataille to confide. After having mentioned his lung cancer on the France 2 set in the show “Ça commence aujourd'hui” in 2024, it was in the show “Chez Jordan” that he went at the beginning of the year to take stock. Faced with the host Jordan de Luxe, Pascal Bataille thus returned to the causes of his illness but also to his treatment.

Chemotherapy is an infusion. We are injected with a product that is supposed to fight against the tumor and destroy it. I feel lucky, like all those who are treated, because the progress that is made in the field of cancer is significant. I benefit from a treatment that combines immunotherapy which boosts the immune system with chemotherapy. It's a process that's quite hard for the body to go through.” Pascal Bataille confided on C8.

Pascal Bataille has cancer: this proposal for his treatment that he refused

Despite everything, the host of “Y'a que la vérité qui compte” is coping well. “I'm coping very well. These are six-hour sessions in an armchair. I do this at the Saint-Joseph hospital in Paris, there are incredible teams.”confirmed Laurent Fontaine's sidekick. Moreover, he assured, he does not suffer any difference in treatment due to his notoriety. “Because of my social status and my connections, I knew a lot of doctors so I was able to get treatment faster than the average person. I even felt guilty about it but I told myself that I wasn't taking anyone's place.” he added.

While the host is well known, he was made an offer that he refused. “I was offered to be treated separately so that I could be seen and so that it wouldn't get out, but I said no, I wanted to be with everyone.” Pascal Bastaille assured. “It's something that happens to everyone” he specified.

Following his treatment, the father lost a lot of his hair. And there again, the medical profession offered to camouflage the after-effects of his treatment, but he refused. “It's a thing you think about… I lost all my hair that wasn't white, I lost a lot of hair. Every morning I would pull on it a little and then one day it ended up coming off in clumps… I was told there were wigs but I didn't want to cheat. Çit should start growing back.” he concluded, waiting for his operation.
