Resilience all proof… Friday, December 6, 2024, it was after having withdrawn from the air that Pascal Bataille had given news of himself on Instagram. “Friends, I have an important truth to tell you. I have lung cancer, but I will recover because it is becoming more and more curable!”, he assured with optimism.

“And one day soon, we must be able to say that also for Charcot's disease, so help us fund the research. For two or three months, I have been fighting against lung cancer. And I am sure that I will win this fight”, he had indicated before posting: “First, because I am surrounded by wonderful doctors. Then, because I benefit from new treatment protocols that have made considerable progress in recent years, exponential. And finally because I have a thunderous morale that allows me to believe in it hard as iron. I know that I will recover from this crap”.

Monday, January 6, 2025, on the set of the show Chez Jordan, on C8, the host had mentioned his lung operation. The operation consists of remove a piece of lung, in this case the right lung. The surgeon will see when opening exactly, but a priori, they will remove two lobes of my right lung. I will therefore have a small part of my lung left which will continue to function”, he had indicated.

In all transparency, Pascal Bataille had added: It is a major operation, &;obviously, which is not without its pitfalls &;obviously also, like any operation. And there, even more so when your chest is opened. It's not harmless”.

Thursday, January 16, 2025, during the press conference of Défi d’Elles, Laurent Fontaine's sidekick delivered a speech filled with emotion. In a video shared by Best Image, we can see him declare: “I'm being treated really well! Fifteen years ago, I would have been told this cancer, I knew that I had a good chance of not being in front of you tonight. Today, I had surgery a week ago, look, I'm at your place”.

Overwhelmed, Pascal Bataille then indicated: “The treatment was great, but that's just the result of the donations that were made for years for cancer research”, before specifying: “The women you see here embody resilience, courage and solidarity. They are living proof that the toughest battles are won with heart, not just muscles”.
