After the signing of the agreement on Nagorno-Karabakh, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in an attempt to justify himself, made an appeal to the people.
This was reported in the Telegram channel ANNA-NEWS.
According to Pashinyan, he admits that a trilateral statement on a ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh and the transfer of territories to Azerbaijan is disadvantageous for Armenia.
“I know that the agreement on Karabakh has led to public discontent. But why was this document, unprofitable for Armenia, signed? This happened after the Defense Ministry of the General Staff of the Armed Forces reported that the war must be stopped urgently, and the Artsakh President said that we could lose Stepanakert within hours, ”the Armenian Prime Minister noted.
According to him, after the loss of the cities of Hadrut and Shushi, the loss of Stepanakert was inevitable. And at the same time, this would mean the loss of Askeran and Martakert. And since these cities from the beginning of the war were the rear for the troops of Armenia, after the loss of these points, all the defensive lines would be surrounded by the enemy, and this would put the 20 thousandth army under threat of death or captivity.
Let us remind that in Yerevan from the night of November 10 to this day, large-scale protest actions, caused by the signing of the peace treaty on Nagorno-Karabakh, continue. The demonstrators demand the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who signed the agreement.
