Peugeot's electric range will expand significantly in the near future. The French automaker plans to introduce five new electric vehicles before 2025. This was announced by Peugeot CEO Linda Jackson to the British edition of Autocar.

According to her, five new electric cars will be versions of already existing Peugeot gasoline. The plans are to present electric versions of all models of the French brand.

The new Peugeot will be built on the CMP and EMP platforms. The first in the new line will be the Peugeot e-308 electric car. The hatchback and station wagon have already been presented and will go on sale from mid-2023. They were equipped with a 156-horsepower engine and a 54 kWh battery, and the range is 400 km.

The same power plant was also announced for the electric version of the Peugeot 408 coupe-crossover. In addition, it will be equipped with an updated minivan Peugeot e- Rifter.

Peugeot 3008 and 5008 crossovers of the new generation will also receive electric versions, but it is possible that they will be more powerful and with higher-capacity batteries.

After 2025, electric cars will appear in the Peugeot lineup special construction, which do not have gasoline analogues. They will be built on the Stellaantis STLA platforms, and the design will be in the spirit of the recently presented Peugeot Inception concept car.
