Poisoning is not excluded: the Italian prosecutor visited Chubais in the hospital (photo)

Doctors say that the reason for the deterioration of the health of the oligarch is a neurological disease, but the security forces decided to make sure of this.

The prosecutor of the Italian city of Tempio Pausania, Gregorio Capasso, visited the Russian oligarch Anatoly Chubais in the Mater Olbia hospital, writes L'Unione Sarda.

The publication notes that over the past three days since the hospitalization, the health of the Russian has improved. Doctors believe that the cause of the deterioration of Chubais's health could be a previous neurological disease. They diagnosed the patient with Guillain-Barré syndrome, an autoimmune disease that affects the nervous system and causes complete numbness of the extremities during attacks. However, the prosecutor nevertheless decided to make sure that the Russian was not a victim of poisoning.

According to journalists, the Italian special services are also investigating: now they are waiting for the results of blood tests of the oligarch.

“Chubais left Moscow in March, without informing President Putin, as a sign of disagreement with the military aggression against Ukraine. This choice was certainly not appreciated, many accused him of treason,” states L'Unione Sarda.

A photo of Anatoly Chubais from intensive care was published by his friend Ksenia Sobchak, noting that now the oligarch's legs and arms do not work well, his eyes do not close, and there is also partial paralysis of the face. Sobchak said that the doctors finally confirmed the patient's diagnosis: Guillain-Barré syndrome.

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov expressed regret over Chubais' illness and said that he knew nothing about the details of his misadventures.

As reported, Chubais resigned in March and left Russia. He was seen in Istanbul when he was withdrawing money from an ATM, later in Cyprus. The Kremlin was extremely reluctant to discuss Chubais' resignation and his hasty departure abroad. Then Peskov stated that he quit of his own free will, and where he left is his own business.
