Nothing is more surprising than the changeability of the weather in our country.
Long-term forecasts for Poland should be monitored urgently and regularly so as not to be caught by a sudden change in weather conditions.
Weather forecasters warn against a sudden break in the weather
Most of the country is bathed in full sun in the morning, which sparkles in the cloudless skies, but according to the meteorologist at the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management, the situation is set to change later in the day , especially in the South and South-East, where the temperature will drop.
We can also expect heavy rains, lightning strikes and strong gusts of wind. They are usually to take place in the afternoon and last throughout the evening and at night, from Friday to Saturday. The weekend will be warm, but Sunday will be the least hot.
The temperature drops will not be very significant, and the temperatures in most of the country will be around 25-30 degrees Celsius and above – the highest in the north of the country.
Michał Ogrodnik, a specialist from the Central Forecasting Bureau of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management, described what we can expect in the coming hours – on Friday, the country will be moved by a zone of short-lived rainfall and storms. By evening, it will reach Kashubia, Greater Poland and the western ends of Lower Silesia. During storms, we expect rainfall up to 20 mm in some places, up to 30 mm in the northwest and gusts up to 85 km/h. Hail is possible during storms. Thunderstorms will take place mainly in the afternoon, evening and night from Friday to Saturday – he explains.
