Polish Prime Minister came to visit Smolensk
The Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki 10 APR wants to visit Smolensk and Katyn on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the crash of Tu-154M, which killed President Lech Kaczynski, and the 80th anniversary of the Katyn tragedy.
On Thursday the radio station RMF said the head of the Chancellery of the Polish government Michal dvorchik.
“The Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki 10 APR wants to visit Smolensk and Katyn. Now, the office examines the possibility of preparation of such trips,” he said.
Dvorchik stressed that the bilateral visit of the question. The purpose of the trip is to honor those who died 10 years ago.
“Now we are analyzing opportunities and preparing this trip … It’s a very difficult question. When the time comes, we will provide accurate information,” added dvorchik.
Earlier it was reported that the President of Poland Andrzej Duda no plans to go to Smolensk on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the crash of Tu-154M.
10 April 2010 crash of the Tu-154 transporting the Polish delegation on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre, 96 people were killed, including President Lech Kaczynski and his wife, high army officers and the last President of Poland in exile Ryszard Kaczorowski.
