An incredibly reliable and durable 2002 Porsche 911 Turbo has been discovered in the USA. The car has traveled over a million miles and is in excellent condition. This is reported by the Carscoops website.
To be more precise, in 20 years, the Porsche sports car has covered 1,089,290 km (676,854 miles). With such runs, frame pickups or old Mercedes-Benz sedans are more common, but for sports cars, even 100,000 km is a serious achievement.
Nevertheless, the Porsche 911 Turbo never failed. Owner Tom Talman said that he used the sports car as an everyday car – Porsche drove mainly around the city.
The car was serviced regularly, and it was repaired only once. On a run of 616 thousand km, oil began to leak in the engine. The motor was removed and a minor malfunction was quickly eliminated.
At the same time, the mechanics at the service station noted the excellent condition of the engine. The bearings barely wore out, and the valves were perfectly adjusted, as if the car had just rolled off the assembly line.
The body and interior of the Porsche 911 Turbo also show no signs of wear, because the owner takes care of the car. Tom Talman is not going to sell the sports car and will continue to drive it.
