This Tuesday, January 21, 2025, TF1 will celebrate its 50th anniversary. For this special evening, Gilles Bouleau and Isabelle Ithurburu will reopen the archive boxes to offer memories to television viewers.

Yes, but there you have it, there was a moment that stuck.

Patrick Poivre d'Arvor will be visible three times in the show

Indeed, if we mention TF1, one name comes to mind: Patrick Poivre-d’Arvor, who presented the 8 p.m. news for several years on the first channel. However, the journalist was not eluded from the tape. He appears three times: “on the night of the 1988 election, the night of the re-election of François Mitterrand, during the demonstrations in Tiananmen Square in 1989 and the Indian Ocean tsunami of December 2004”.

But above all he will miss his “famous ‘Ladies and Gentlemen, good evening”. But during the evening presented by Isabelle Ithurburu and Gilles Bouleau, the accusations against PPDA are not evaded: “Patrick Poivre d’Arvor, whom you have seen, is today the subject of several legal proceedings for rape and sexual assault”, will specify Gilles Bouleau's antenna. 

Other personalities will not be present in the tape

Indeed, Patrick Poivre d'Arvor is the target of the testimonies of 50 women and the complaints of 25 people for facts of sexual assault and rape. The ongoing investigation concerns four victims whose acts have not yet been statutoryly prescribed.

During this evening event, TF1 will not talk about Christian Quesada, fourth greatest champion of the 12 Coups de midi, and sentenced since to three years in prison for “corruption of a minor, possession and distribution of child pornography”. This will also be the case for Nicolas Hulot, accused of rape and sexual assault by multiple women.
