This was announced by the head Prada Corporate Social Responsibility Lorenzo Bertelli, writes WWD.

Recycled gold is known to be made from refined or recycled precious metals that are no longer used or have been extracted from various electronic components.

Prada was the first global luxury brand to introduce a collection of recycled gold jewelry.

In total, the Eternal Gold line consists of 48 pieces, which were developed by a team of jewelers led by Timothy Iwata, the former director of global innovation at Cartier.

The collection is based on Prada's signature triangular logo, and the cost of some jewelery reaches up to $60,000.

“Prada's recycled gold is recovered only from suitable recycled sources, including industrial gold, electronic components and used precious metals. Prada works exclusively with such suppliers of precious metals and stones that meet the highest industry standards for human rights, work safety, environmental impact and business ethics,” the company said.
