As the “Pomponik” portal reminds us, at 12 o'clock in Westminster Abbey, the mourning ceremonies in memory of Elizabeth II began. Behind the coffin of the deceased queen, walked the four hands of her children, headed by the present monarch, Charles III. In the funeral procession there were also two children of Princess Kate and Prince William. I am talking about Prince George and his younger sister – Princess Charlotte. Their parents decided that the children were mature enough to take part in the last goodbye of their great-grandmother.

Last goodbye to Queen Elizabeth II

On Monday, September 19, exactly at 12 o'clock, a memorial service began in memory of Queen Elizabeth II. In a funeral procession, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were walking right behind the coffin of the deceased monarch. Prince William and Princess Kate decided that their two oldest children were mature enough to support the funeral.

In the procession, you could see Prince George walking beside Prince William, and with Princess Kate, Princess Charlotte. The children arrived at Westminster Abbey by car, jointly with Princess Kate and Queen Camilla. Siblings are the youngest people who take part in the last farewell to Queen Elizabeth II.

The Daily Mail reveals that Kate and William have long considered whether their children should be taken at the event. In the end, they decided that only the youngest Prince Louis would remain in the house. It is worth recalling that last year the siblings attended the funeral of their great-grandfather – Prince Philip.
