In Belarus, security forces began to detain protesters

During the protests in Minsk, Novopolotsk and Zaslavl, security forces detained almost 40 participants, according to information from the human rights center Viasna.

It is noted that the arrests took place mainly in Minsk. Initially, 40 citizens were detained in the capital, but two people have already been released.

The rest of the arrests took place in Novopolotsk and Zaslavl.

Earlier it became known that Ukraine joined the sanctions against Belarus, as well as six other EU partner countries.

In turn, the European Union has already introduced two blocks of sanctions against Minsk and is preparing a third package of restrictions.
