The head of the Kremlin demands to remove sanctions from Russia concerning food exports, in particular grains.
Russia is ready to facilitate the export of Ukrainian grain, but the West must lift all restrictions on food exports from Russia. This was stated by President of the aggressor country Vladimir Putin after the summit in Tehran on Tuesday, July 19, according to Russian media.
“We will facilitate the export of Ukrainian grain, but we proceed from the fact that all restrictions related to the supply of Russian grain will be removed. Now we are ready: the export potential is 30 million tons of grain, according to the results of the current year it will be 50 million tons,” the Russian leader said.
He also commented on the possibility of a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, saying that “Kyiv has no desire to fulfill the agreements reached in Istanbul.”
Putin also touched on the topic of Russian energy supplies to Europe. In his opinion, if Western countries restrict the supply of Russian oil, its prices will “go sky high”.
The Russian president claims that the Russian Federation has not yet received documents on the return of the turbine for Nord Stream-1 from Canada , and added that “Sevpotok-2 can be launched to supply gas to Europe.”
Recall that Putin is on a visit to Iran, where he held talks with Iranian leader Ibrahim Raisi and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The topics of the summit are grain exports and the war in Ukraine.
