Health authorities reported on Friday a significant decrease in COVID-related hospitalizations -19.
According to the latest report, 68 fewer people were being treated in hospital for the disease, which brings hospitalizations to below 1,800 for the first time in several weeks.

The death toll continued to rise, however, with 14 new victims recorded on Friday. Of these deaths, two occurred in the past 24 hours, six two to seven days ago, and six more than seven days ago.
Since the start of the pandemic, 17,166 people have died as a result of COVID-19.
Authorities have also reported 739 new cases, to which must be added at least 133 infections detected by rapid tests.< /p>
According to the Ministry of Health dashboard, the positivity rate is 8.3%.
On the vaccination side , 20,304 doses were administered on Thursday, for a total of 22,061,804 vaccines given since the start of the pandemic.
