Toyota produced only two Camry limousines in 1987. The sedan was not only lengthened, but also added a third pair of doors.
A very unusual 1987 Toyota Camry was found in Norway. Family sedan turned into a real limousine. The car is now up for sale for 189,000 crowns ($19,200).
Oddly enough, the limousine was built not by some tuning studio, but by Toyota specialists. In total, only two such Camrys were assembled, so this is really a rarity.
The sedan was cut in half and an insert about a meter long was added in the center. Moreover, the car got a third pair of doors.
The increased dimensions made it possible to install another row of seats and make the Toyota Camry an eight-seater. The interior trim used velor and wood. There is also a console with a TV, VCR and compartments for small luggage.
The Toyota Camry Limousine is equipped with a standard 2.0-liter gasoline engine with 119 horsepower. With. and a 5-speed manual transmission.
For 35 years, the car has driven 165,000 km and is generally well preserved, although the trim is damaged in places. The owner is selling the limousine because he doesn't have a big garage to store it, and the snowy Norwegian winters won't be good for a rare car.
