Romain Tissot, président de la Fnaim depuis septembre dernier, a effectué ses premiers vœux, boulevard Victor-Hugo. Midi Libre – AD. B.
After a year 2024 marked by a sharp drop in sales, the president of Fnaim Gard Lozère Romain Tissot is looking at 2025 under better auspices, mainly for the old.
“This crisis that we are experiencing is the most violent of the last 50 years.” Romain Tissot's words are clear and measured. For the 2025 wishes of the National Federation of Real Estate Gard Lozère, the president did not beat around the bush.“For transactions, 2024 was a dramatic year. We recorded 750,000 sales compared to 850,000 the previous year. […] And this is the third consecutive year of decline.”
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000That is an 11% drop in sales volumes across France in 2024, accompanied by numerous real estate agency failures. In the Gard, the situation is even more alarming, with the decline representing 19% of volumes over the same period: “Our department is the most violently affected by the decline in activity”, insists Romain Tissot.
However, the man who is also director of the Nîmes Tissot immobilier group does not intend to give free rein to gloom. A rugby player, convinced by the strength of the collective to succeed in redressing a situation, Romain Tissot sees signs of recovery in the old market.“In 2024, there was a slowdown in the decline in sales volumes for old properties. And the economic climate is more favourable, with a drop in bank rates for a landing that should be around 3%.” This, combined with price regulation (prices fell overall in Nîmes by 4.5% last year after years of increases), should translate into a happier outlook.
Call for unity
“We are allies, not competitors, being united allows us to protect ourselves and progress together”, called for Romain Tissot, calling for speaking with one voice on several issues.
The Fnaim's wishes attracted many professionals from different real estate professions, as well as the president of Nîmes Métropole Franck Proust, the vice-president from Nîmes Métropole, delegate for housing and urban renewal Géraldine Rey-Deschamps or the first deputy of the city of Nîmes in charge of urban planning Julien Plantier.
