The great-aunt great-niece of the late Prince Philip dated her now husband for two years.

32-year-old Lady Tatiana Mountbatten , daughter of the 4th Marquess of Milford Haven, who is a great-nephew of the late Prince Philip, consort of Elizabeth II, married her boyfriend Alexander “Alik” Drew, reports the Mirror.

The wedding ceremony took place at Winchester Cathedral, and among the guests was Cressida Bonas, Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend.

Drew proposed to a relative of the queen during a romantic getaway in the ski resort of Verbier in the Alps, which Tatiana wrote about on Instagram. Cressida was one of the first to congratulate the couple, writing: “Handsome”.

The bride appeared at the cathedral in a full-length white wedding dress with short sleeves and an intricate sash that appeared to be adorned with white beads. The outfit was designed by British bridal designer Suzanne Neville. Based on the existing “Amelia” dress, Lady Tatiana's dress was adapted to include a bespoke 3m embroidered train from her mother's wedding dress. The bride's back was almost half open, and her face was covered with an ivory tulle veil.

Tatiana is the eldest child of 60-year-old George Mountbatten and his first wife, Sarah Georgina Walker. Tatiana's younger brother, Henry, who is 30 years old, is the Count of Medina. George made a fortune by founding and selling the price comparison company uSwitch. He now presumably lives in Switzerland.

The girl is fond of horseback riding. She studied this skill with Olympic champion Charlotte Dujardin and was educated at the elite private school Millfield at a cost of 12 thousand pounds a year. Once Tatiana wanted to become a ski instructor, but now she is engaged in dressage horses.

“All you really need to know is that I spend every day doing what I love most in the world: riding horses. I am a professional dressage rider from Windsor. Here I train a couple of my own horses and a few horses that I have had wonderful people train with me who have entrusted me with the training and career of their horses.I run monthly dressage training at home in West Sussex, to be more precise at the Great Trippets polo club,” says Lady Mountbatten's website.

Lady Tatiana's chosen one is investment banker Alexander Drew. The couple dated for two years before announcing their engagement. Although he does not have the same position as his wife, Alik's family tree is still littered with landowners.

Alexander, who graduated from Eton, is parents of Oberon Alexander Bernard Drew and Catherine Margaret Norden. Bernard is the son of Major Alexander Drew and Gabrielle Maria Hermione Herbert. He is a descendant of John Vesey, 4th Viscount de Veskey, and Henry Howard Molyneux Herbert, 4th Earl of Carnarvon. Together with his wife, Bernard now runs Bernard Dru Oak Ltd, which manufactures and installs high quality oak flooring “sustainably sourced” from the forests of the Haddeo Valley. They live at Bickham Manor in Timberscombe, Somerset.
