The new Renault crossover has a dynamic silhouette with a sloping arched roof. The model will be built on the Volvo XC40 platform and will receive a hybrid installation.
The Renault Arkana coupe-crossover will receive an older brother. The new model will appear in 2024 and is being created jointly with Volvo and Geely. This was reported by the press service of the Renault Group.
The Korean branch of Renault is developing a new model (previously this company produced cars under the Samsung brand). Recently, 34.02% of its shares were bought by Geely, and now the Chinese concern is preparing to acquire shares in Renault Group. And since Geely owns Volvo, the engineers of the Swedish brand will also join the creation of the crossover.
Only one model teaser has been published so far. She has a high hood, a sloping roof and a raised “stern”, and the rear window is covered with a spoiler. You can also see that the fenders of the car are slightly expanded.
It is stated that the Renault crossover will be built on the CMA platform. Originally created for the Volvo XC40, it now underpins several Geely models and premium Chinese brand Lynk&Co.
