Production of the film is scheduled for the end of the year.
Britain's most popular bride Bridget Jones returns to the screens as a mother. Renée Zellweger, 53, will once again play her favorite character in the sequel to the cult film from the early 2000s. According to The Sun, the fourth part of Bridget Jones's Diary will begin filming at the end of 2022.
The previous part of the blockbuster hit the big screen six years ago. In the story, Bridget Jones became pregnant and tried to find out who the father of her child was.
In the new film, co-written with creator Helen Fielding, Renee Zellweger will return to the big screen, along with other actors from the original cast, to tell the story of his motherhood.
A source from The Sun reports that over the past couple of decades, many more successful or more popular romantic comedies have been made in the world than Bridget Jones's Diary. However, it was the story of the blonde Bridget Jones, desperately trying to find her love, that won the hearts of millions in her time and left warm memories for many years to come. And even after seven or eight years since the release of the last part of the film, fans will want to know how the story of their beloved heroine continued.
“This is a British classic,” the source explained.
The most successful are the first and third parts of the story of Bridget Jones. The second part did not receive a standing ovation from the general public, but was a success with loyal fans.
Focus previously wrote that the 61-year-old actor Colin Firth, who played Mr. Darcy in the film ” Pride and Prejudice”, as well as beloved Bridget Jones, finally met his true love. The celebrity began a relationship with screenwriter and producer Maggie Cohn, whom he met on the set and seems to be immensely happy.
