Lexus is developing a new compact crossover. The new model will appear in 2024 or 2025 and will be the successor to the Lexus CT hatchback. This is reported by the Japanese site Best Car Web.
At the moment, the Lexus CT is the oldest model in the line of the Japanese brand. The C-class hybrid hatchback was introduced back in 2011 and will be discontinued from October.
Since hatchbacks are not popular now, the Lexus CT will be replaced crossover is coming. However, judging by the renders, the model will resemble a raised hatchback. The new model will most likely be built on the TNGA modular platform used by the Lexus RX and NX, as well as the Toyota RAV4 and Camry. It is stated that it will become the most affordable Lexus crossover – the basic version will cost a little over 30 thousand euros.
Like the Lexus CT, the new crossover will be available exclusively in a hybrid version. However, the palette of versions will be expanded – they will offer hybrid installations of different capacities. It is known that the basic version of the model will receive a 1.2-liter turbo engine and an electric motor.
