It turned out that Prince William arranged a James Bond-style date for Kate Middleton. He rented a posh Aston Martin, which is the official favorite car brand of superspy James Bond, and drove his princess around the Norfolk area with a breeze. It is reported by The Sun.
The brand new Aston Martin DBX707 was manufactured at a factory in South Wales, in the opening of which four years ago the future King of Great Britain Charles III took part. The plant has provided jobs for more than a thousand local residents.
It is the fastest SUV in the world and the first Welsh production car in over 50 years. There is a chic Aston Martin about 189 thousand pounds. It can reach 193 miles per hour (310 km/h), but it's unlikely that the Prince would drive that fast on country roads.
Prince's Aston Martin was delivered in the strictest secrecy so as not to spoil the surprise. But the tabloids still found out the details: William and Kate Middleton rode a car only last weekend. And nothing extraordinary, like agent 007, the prince did not do anything by car. He returned it safe and sound.
It is possible that William's original date was inspired by the words of producer Barbara Broccoli, who admired the prince's stylish image during the Earthshot Prize ceremony in the USA.
Barbara joked that Prince William could replace Daniel Craig as James Bond.
But William has always loved Aston Martin. On his wedding day in 2011, he and Kate left Buckingham Palace in a vintage car from the brand, decorated with the couple's initials and balloons in the colors of the British flag.
In the 007 films, James Bond drove four different Aston cars Martin, but the DBX707 hasn't appeared in any of the movies yet.
