Russia spent half a billion dollars worth of missiles in half a day - Forbes

Journalists calculated that the total cost of the missiles and UAVs that Russia launched into Ukraine on Monday ranges from $400 million to $700 million.

During the massive rocket attack on Ukraine on Monday, October 10, Russia fired 84 cruise missiles and 24 UAVs. The average cost of all weapons is from 400 to 700 million dollars, according to Forbes.

At the same time, the Ukrainian military shot down more than half of the missiles – 43 pieces and 13 UAVs.

“Forbes estimates the cost of missiles fired in a wide range, because the exact number of missiles of each type is not yet known,” the publication adds.

Russia reportedly used the following types of missiles:

  • X-101;
  • X-555;
  • Caliber;
  • Iskander;
  • S-300;
  • < li> Tornado-S.

The cost calculation was made under the assumption that most of the missiles that reached the target are expensive and high-precision Kh-101 and missiles with tactical range, such as S-300, Tornado-S. The rest of the missiles were used to reload air defenses.

According to Forbes, Russia spent between $400 million and $700 million because:

  • Kh-101 – $13 million (one projectile);
  • Caliber – $6.5 million;
  • Iskander – $3 million;
  • Onyx – $1.25 million;
  • X-22 – $1 million;
  • Tochka-U – $0.3 million.

Earlier, the State Emergency Service reported that as a result of a Russian missile attack in Ukraine, 11 people were killed and 89 injured.
