The updated Lada Vesta sedans and station wagons were released in February, but they went on sale only now. The production of the model has not yet been resumed.
Sales of the Lada Vesta 2022 have started on the Russian market. 800 updated sedans and station wagons have hit the showrooms. This is reported by the publication Autoreview.
These cars were assembled back in February and stood in warehouses for half a year, since the updated model was not brought to the market for a long time. They will be delivered to 300 car dealerships in the Russian Federation – 2-3 cars each.
Production of Lada Vesta has not yet been resumed due to a lack of imported components. An assembly plant in Izhevsk is idle, and its staff recently complained to Putin about the management.
The new Lada Vesta NG outwardly differs in the design of the radiator grille, headlights, lights and bumper. In the cabin, the instruments and part of the switches were replaced, and a new display was installed.
Engines Lada Vesta remained the same. Petrol fours VAZ with a volume of 1.6 liters (106 hp) and 1.8 liters (122 hp) are equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission, and a 1.6-liter 113-horsepower Renault engine is equipped with a CVT.
Only Lada Vesta Comfort versions with LED headlights, keyless entry, air conditioning, heated seats, LED headlights, ABS, ESP and two airbags have gone on sale.
The recommended price of Lada Vesta 2022 is 1.63 million rubles ($27,000) for a sedan and 1.81 million rubles ($30,200) for the wagon. For comparison: in 2015, the prices for the model were three times lower – they started from $7900.
However, in practice, the cost turned out to be even higher due to dealer markups. So, in Ufa, the station wagon cost the owner 1.95 million rubles ($32,300). In Ukraine, you can buy a Toyota RAV4 or Mazda CX-5 for less money.
